» Distance: 100 m.
This museum, opened to the public in 1953, consists of the remains of the Great Palace of the Byzantine Empire built by Constantine the Great (324-337). Excavated in 1935, these remains consist of mosaics, columns and other architectural pieces which had once been part of the Great Palace. Part of the bazaar of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque Complex is also exhibited in this museum.
